intro:: the heart 〰️

i want to be explicit—
i approach pansori as a political + spiritual practice.
i reject the ideas of Tradition and mastery, which serve as colonial reflections of the origins of pansori, rooted in agrarian communities and shamanic rituals —

practices of land and spirit.

this is a living and breathing practice.

i am a living and breathing trans, diasporic corean, and crip being born and raised on occupied Tongva land, whose embodiments inform my practice. this resource came out of my need to share inaccessible ancestral + cultural practices with other disabled, poor, trans, and diasporic folks in an accessible way.

this practice is distinct to each being that shapes it:

to me,

to you,

to community,

to land.

i hope that, through my particular lens, you can find an embodiment that resonates with you. i hope this can serve as a guide for you to explore your own relationships to bodies, land, spirit, and voice.

what does it mean to re-member?
